The Turning Table, Seasonal and Limited Tellings, surrounded by fairground and seasonal imagery

Seasonal and limited tellings

The Turning Table

Some readings are not meant to stay on the Table all year. They belong to a season, a threshold, an occasion or simply a moment when something different deserves to be read.

The Table turns. The offer changes.

Things that come and go

Like the fair itself, not everything stays on the ground all year.

Some readings arrive with the season. Others simply arrive when the time feels right.

A temporary stall may appear on the ground, remain for a while, then pack down and move on. A reading at the Turning Table may do the same. It may return later, it may change before it returns, or it may have belonged only to that one moment.

The permanent readings remain on the main Readings page. The Readings page is the standing ground. The Turning Table is what changes.

When the year turns

The season does not decide your future.
It changes the ground beneath your feet.

Beginnings, endings, harvest, rest, preparation, release and renewal are easier to notice when the light, weather and rhythm of ordinary life begin to shift.

For some people these dates belong to the Wheel of the Year. For others they are simply familiar points at which light, weather, work and attention begin to change. Either way, they mark a turn.

A reading may appear for one of these moments, but none is promised as an annual fixture. The Table follows the year without belonging to one required religious tradition.

Beyond the seasons

Sometimes a particular method deserves its own time at the Table.

Sometimes I create a reading because the season calls for it. Sometimes because a particular deck has been sitting on the shelf long enough. Sometimes because an idea arrives and deserves a place at the Table.

A limited reading might use a historical Tarot deck, an oracle deck, runes, playing cards, dominoes, the crystal ball or a newly created spread. It may mark an anniversary, a cultural occasion, a threshold or a theme that feels worth examining.

This is where I can experiment without confusing the permanent reading menu. The method may change, but the visitor should never have to guess what they are booking.

Currently on the Table

The Turning Table changes throughout the year. Current seasonal, limited and occasional readings are posted here as they become available.

Nothing special may be open at a particular moment. The standing readings remain available, and the Table will turn again.

The road changes weather

A seasonal reading may return. A new one may appear. An old deck may come back out of the box.

The Turning Table does not keep a fixed timetable. Check back when the weather changes, when the light shifts, or simply when you feel like seeing what has appeared.
